Depart from Nenokuchi Port, go around Nakanoumi(central deepest crater lake), which is surrounded by the Ogura Peninsula and Nakayama Peninsula, Board a pleasure boat that arrives at the Yasumiya port, and enjoy the spectacular view of late autumn season.
I watched the spectacular view of Nakanoumi from the pleasure boat, and kept pressing the shutter while worrying about battery level.
The deepest part of Lake Towada is 326.8m, which is the third deepest in Japan after Lake Tazawa (Akita Prefecture) and Lake Shikotsu (Hokkaido).
Lake Towada: The flow to the Oirase mountain stream starts from under this bridge, and on the left is Mt. Ogura, which rises at the tip of the Ogura Peninsula. A pleasure boat looks small in the center of the screen. The area that shines with the back light is Higashi no Umi(East lake).
Lake Towada: After a late lunch (Inaniwa udon noodles) at the restaurant in Nenokuchi, the pleasure boat bound for Yasumiya port.
Lake Towada: Because it was the end of the autumn season, there were only a few people on board. Just beginning about 1 hour cruise on the Lake Towada.
Lake Towada:The pleasure boat departed from Nenokuchi Port sailed the shortest course toward the tip of the Ogura Peninsula. On the deck and look out over the north side of Lake Towada.
Lake Towada: The pleasure boat eventually passed through the tip of the Ogura Peninsula and turned left to Nakanoumi(central deepest crater lake). The magnificent view of the rough quay with the mixture of orange and yellow leaves.
Lake Towada: The trees are growing near the water’s edge, probably because the water level is constant and stable. There is a guide voice on the ship, but it is almost inaudible on the deck because it is drowned out by the sound of the wind. I just see the magnificent view.
Lake Towada: The Senjomaku(huge cliff curtain), the ship sail, the scenery changes one after another, so I keep an eye on it.
Lake Towada: There are two types course. One are Between Nenokuchi port and Yasumiya port go or return. Another is from Yasumiya port go around Nakanoumi (central deepest crater lake) and return to Ysumiya port. Both are spend about an hour.
Lake Towada: Rough red color cliffs Gosikiiwa(five-colored rocks).Lake Towada: On the west side of the Ogura Peninsula, the sunshine in the afternoon is in front of the sun, so the autumn leaves shine. Is it Eboshi-iwa (like a bowler hat)?
Lake Towada: As the scenery jumps into my eyes one after another, I press the shutter frequently and start to worry about the battery level.
Lake Towada: When ship came to the base of the Ogura Peninsula, I could see the fence of Kanko-dai (Observatory) above, and there seemed to be no people. I’m trying to get a bird’s-eye view of the lake from the view lake stand, but I haven’t realized it yet.
Lake Towada: Did the ship enter the eastern side of the Nakayama Peninsula in the meantime? The deck is dazzling with back rays.
Lake Towada: It seems that it was said to be a mikaeri no matu(a pine tree in return) onboard broadcast. A shot in return from a sailing ship.
Lake Towada: A splendid columnar joint made of hexagonal stone and lava. It’s not too far from the Yasumiya port when you come here.
Lake Towada: The beach is closed to Yasumiya port, and you can see the famous “Otome no Zo(Bronz statue)” by Kotaro Takamura’s last work.
Lake Towada: Arrived at the Ysumiya port which is central sightseeing base of Lake Towada.
Lake Towada: Beautiful autumn afternoon on the shores of Lake Towada, I had not so many time, then coludn’t saw the “Otome no Zo”.
Lake Towada: Around 4 pm, take the JR bus “Mizuumi No. 9” to the accommodation, Towadako Onsenkyo. It was a very satisfying day with good weather, good scenery, Oirase stream and lake sightseeing.
